We are "blogging" now!

We have finally jumped on the "blogging" bandwagon. We felt this would be a more convient way of you to keep up with the store chit chat than if we kept sending out e-mails. You will still get your monthly newsletter with classes (when they resume) and other events, but this will just be a way you can check up on what is new in the store, progress on the rebuilding, new merchandise, etc. Please be patient with us as we learn the in's and out's of this new tool. We love comments, so please leave us some love :)

What a great idea! While I've only made it to the store once (it's a long drive from Katy!), I live vicariously through your emails. Sorry to hear (and see) the damage and can't wait for you to be up and running again.

Please let me know if you need any help getting things back in order, I'd be more than happy to help out!

We need our local scrapbook stores to survive!!!

You will have more comments if you fix your link - no www in the address to your blog! :)

Hang in there! We are still without power, but keeping a smile on our faces as much as possible

Oh it makes me sick to see all of that wet paper!! I'm so sorry to see all of the damage.

Blogging is a great idea. I'll keep checking in.

I am sorry to hear about the damage, but if you need any help cleaning up...I am willing and able. Just came back from north of Dallas and was surprised to see how few local scrapbook stores there were! I am all about supporting the locals! ;)

Hi guys, my heart just dropped when I saw the pictures of the store and all that was lost, but I know you girls and I also know that Novel will be bigger and better than ever before. By the way I really like pink and brown for the store. LOL
Take care and bless each and every one of you.

I am so sorry to see the damage but I know you'll be back stronger than ever. Let me know if I can help - I have Friday afternoons as well as weekends to help paint, stock, sort etc.

Paint fun and warmer color tones. More examples on the wall! Keep as much stuff in the same spot and of course let me know when you open so I can shop! Hope this process is painless and quick!

Ladies....I about died when I read, and I quote..."career ending injuries." After I picked myself up off the floor and went on to read the rest I cancelled my call to 911.

The first thing I absolutely LOVE about the store is Melissa, Sue and Karen. Love Pizza and a 6 pack and just about every other class I have attended there.

Things I would change...give the store a facelift. It looks like a perfect opportunity to warm things up. Color is a great way to create a mood DO SOMETHING WITH THE REGISTER AREA. First impressions are everything and that is the first thing you see when you walk in. There are so many changes that can be done to maximize the space back there. We recently gave the Salon I work at a face lift. Using just paint and redoing the front desk and seating area. You can not believe the positive feedback we received. I read someones comment about backround music. Good call. Good luck ladies. Looking forward to seeing the new and improved Novel Approach. Hugs, Debbie Thornton

I have just visited Novel Approach and "WOW". I love, love, love the long aisles with room to walk between. The use of beadboard throughout the store is great. The color is soothing and the chairs by the front door inviting. The entire store says "WELCOME, COME IN". Great job ladies !!!!!!
